“Do you also want to write for my blog from time to time?”, Katharina asked me – Uriel –  while fixating me with her radiating blue eyes. “Sure, sure”, I muttered while still investigating her eyes. It is easy to see a good result of a spiritual practice in the eyes of people, I was thinking. Katharina just finished the morning practice she did with Suriyel and Maria. When the inner spiritual energy is rising, you can see it in the eyes.

What do you need for a successful practice, I was asking myself. First you need a unbroken lineage, if you want to have real progress. You get access to the energy inside the lineage and this will lead you to real results. Then – you need a qualified teacher inside this lineage. He is not only introducing you to the lineage and the practice but also helps you in difficult stages of your practice. Then you should have some experiences, especially at the beginning. This helps you to convince yourself that the practice you are doing is working. And last, you need a good fundament. I saw so many people failing on the path or not having any deep results at all, just because the fundament was missing. You need to enter into the practice in a correct way, which was developed hundreds of years ago and led thousands of people to the fruit of the path. In our tradition the fundament is called the preliminary practice.

I was very happy to see, that the practice the three did on the terrasse of the retreat house at the end of the world was working. My friend Suriyel developed strongly over the years and in his hometown he is already performing rituals for the public. Katharina is not only following the path by entering into the energy of the lineage – she is jumping into it like into a river. Already in the last three months you can feel the difference, I was thinking. And Maria – her inner energy feels like you mix a nice fragrance with a lustral golden liquid. She will be successful. Now only the fundament is needed, like the primer on the wall before you start painting.
