It was the fourth hour of our journey. I did not feel tired, I was looking forward to meeting Vasilisa. I felt that something good was about to happen. And now we are already in Poland, but there are still a couple of hours of travel ahead. We stopped at a gas station. Our driver turned out to be quite a nice person. He said that he wanted to go to eat at one of his favorite Polish restaurants. I supported him, as I was determined to try something from Polish cuisine. But it turned out to be McDonald’s. I will not say that I was upset, of course it was not the favorite „Polish restaurant“ that I expected, but it turned out to be no worse. Katorina and I went inside. She does not like such food, so she only took coffee. We talked about what we would like to see in Gdansk, we were so happy. We continued on our way. In one of the villages, our fellow traveler and part-time friend of the driver left us and wished us a good trip. We started talking to the driver. He works near Munich and they immediately hit it off with Katarina as she knows those places around Bavaria. Time flew by, he told us about Gdynia, where he lives, it’s only twenty minutes from Gdansk. And he told us that we had to return when it was warm. We got out of the car at the station, the driver was very worried about whether we would get there, explained many times which train we needed and where to buy a ticket. It was very nice of him, it’s still unusual for me that strangers can be really genuinely kind. And here we are standing at the station, I’m smoking, it’s twenty minutes before the train, I feel like I’m starting to freeze. Suddenly a young man comes up and asks us something in Polish. I answer that we do not speak Polish. He looks at me and asks in Russian “maybe you speak Russian or Ukrainian?”. “I’m talking for two,” I answer and immediately specify where he is from. I’m always wary of this kind of dialogue. „Belarus“. The guy was frankly dissatisfied with the situation in his country, and this is understandable. It was difficult for him to leave the country, but he specified that he was more comfortable in Poland. We got on the train and he continued talking. He talked a lot. It looked like he had no friends and was very lonely. I feel very sorry for such people, because it was clear that he really wanted to talk to us. Before leaving the train, he uttered, “I know a bar where there are a lot of immigrants from Belarus and Ukraine, can we go sometime? Will you give me your number?“ I didn’t want to offend him, it was clear that he was nervous, so I gave my instagram. He left the train, after a few stops we also got off and finally ended up in a taxi, then Vasilisa met us and we went up to our apartment. Vasilisa and her friend cooked dinner for us, the apartment turned out to be much smaller than I expected. But I was glad to meet Vasilisa after a couple of years. At dinner we drank champagne and some gin. After that we decided to go to the club. We had a lot of fun, we remembered our meetings in Zaporozhye. There were many funny situations. We went outside, decided to smoke and call a taxi after. I finally felt at ease. After a long time, I met a person whom I know, with whom I have a memory, something dear. Such a forgotten feeling for me. We got into a taxi, the driver was a rather attractive woman who also turned out to be from Belarus, we talked a little, it turned out that she was a little over forty, which surprised me a little, since she looked much younger. Vasilisa became drunk within minutes of our journey. We stopped at the club. „Let’s smoke?“ she suggested to our driver. She agreed, and while we were smoking, Vasilisa showered her with compliments, even hugged her. It was funny to watch it from the side. When we entered the club, there were not many people, but we liked the music, so we took a cocktail and went to dance. At some point, Vasilisa disappeared. And this club has 3 floors! We went around all three several times. She was at the closet, talking to her friend. In the end, we returned to dance, but she warned that she wanted to continue the discussion with her friend. We didn’t mind, but soon we got tired of this party and we wanted to go home. Vasilisa disappeared again. I went outside with her friend. She is also a little younger than me, but for some reason from the very beginning made me a dubious impression. We’re trying to get through to Vasilisa. I was angry. She always does that, it turns out she left with some guy. We called a taxi, it was 4 am when we arrived home. Katarina woke up. „Everything is fine?“ she asked. I replied that I was angry with Vasilisa and just went to bed. I did not hear when she returned, but when I saw that she was sleeping, I became calmer. It didn’t make sense to talk to her about how it wasn’t right. It happened more than once. I made sure everything was fine and fell asleep again. Looking forward to a new day.
